Dr. Paul & Terri Pritchard have been serving for the past 20 years in Portuguese speaking nations. With a vision to pioneer church plants in nations where few or even no missionaries, ministries have been established in Brazil, Mozambique, the Cape Verde Islands and now also the country of Guinea Bissau.
Phillip Pritchard and his wife Sarah are missionaries with Preach Evangelistic Ministries. A ministry of Wilson Creek Baptist Church, Springfield MO. Raised in Brazil, South America by missionaries Paul and Terri Pritchard, Phillip was saved at the age of 12 and surrendered to God’s calling four months later. Growing up, the Lord provided several opportunities to serve and train on the foreign field. Phillip spent three years at the Biblical School of World Evangelism, a ministry of the First Baptist church of Milford, OH. After college Phillip and Sarah completed a year internship with Preach Evangelistic Ministries.
Phillip and his wife Sarah both feel the calling God has placed on their lives is for one purpose – that God’s glory will be proclaimed to the ends of the earth. God has charged us as well as His church with this wonderful task, and we will not rest until He is exalted. Phillip and Sarah are proud parents of four children: Mason, Micah, Sofia and Sadie.
Christian author, L.E. Maxwell wrote, “Faith is often born in despair. To become exceeding sinful in our own eyes may bring us to Paul’s heart-rending cry: “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” (Romans 7:24.) I did not understand the words that way, but that is where I found myself as a teenager reared in a small mostly Baptist community just north of Chattanooga, Tennessee. God graciously saved me that day. Several years later, I met a farm girl from Maryland who captured my heart and I hers. We were engaged then married May 27, 1972 while I was in the U.S. Navy. After the arrival of our first daughter and an honorable discharge, we moved to Tennessee. A year later Joyce was saved on a Thursday night.
A few months later it became obvious to me and my pastor that God had called me into the gospel ministry. Yielding ourselves to God’s call, I attended a nearby Bible college while pastoring in a small mountain community. God blessed us with two more daughters while there. From these small beginnings God has allowed 43 years in ministry this year, nearly thirty years in the pastorate, Bible instructor, evangelism, and ten years as a missionary evangelist with Preach Evangelistic Ministries.
Our desire is to bring glory to God in the world through discipleship, evangelism, training of faithful men, and helping others to know and worship our great God.
I have been in full time ministry since the summer of 1994. I was a youth pastor/school teacher in Londonderry, NH for eight years at Victory Baptist Church and School. In the fall of 2002 we moved to Emlenton, PA where I became the senior pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church. In the fall of 2010 we came to Columbus, OH where we “restarted” Capitol City Baptist Church. It has been a great privilege to serve the Lord as one of His ministers.
I married my wife, Rachael, in June of 1994 and the Lord has blessed us with two sons, Titus (20) and Silas (18). Both of my sons are youth and music majors at Pensacola Christian College. I have truly been blessed far beyond what I deserve with my wonderful wife and children!
Rachael and I are thankful for the opportunity to serve the Lord together within the local church. Rachael loves working with children and she is affectionately known as RaeRae by most of our church kids. My passion is investing in individuals through personal one on one Bible studies, praying together and sharpening each other through godly conversation.
Brother and Mrs. Jaquess have served at Wilson Creek Baptist Church since August of 1989. They relocated to the Springfield, MO area after ministering in Germany for 11 years through a Baptist church, Christian school and single serviceman’s center focused primarily on American military families.
They now oversee the Wilson Creek Baptist Church’s Childrens Ministries and the Turning Point Prison Ministry. They also both teach a Sunday School class, and serve in other capacities as needed and have been a great blessing to many people.
They have three married children, seven grandchildren, which all live in this area and serve in their respective churches.
My wife, Brenda and I have known each other since the 4th grade, 9 years old. We graduated high school together and married shortly thereafter (I don’t recommend that for everyone).
I served in the United States Air Force for 7 1/2 years traveling all over the world. Abilene, TX, Dyess AFB was where I was stationed most of my Air Force career. We surrendered our lives to the Lord at Trinity Baptist Church in Abilene, TX, Bro. Howard Ingram, pastor.
We have now been married for 45 years. We have 2 boys, Les and James. 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.
Wilson Creek Baptist is my first pastorate out of Bible College and we have been there 33 years as of June 2017. We have spent over half of our lives at Wilson Creek Baptist Church, which I think is a great thing. We have been serving the Lord together for 42 years.
We have gone through 3 building programs and the Lord has blessed in all of those endeavors. The church is 89 years old in May 2017.
Our church has been able to plant 5 other churches in these last 33 years.
