05 Sep Phillip Pritchard Family Newsletter – 07 – 08 – 2019
Greetings from Cape Verde,
We have been back in Cape Verde for three weeks and have so many things to update you about.
The Container got Released.
We have rented a house and have moved our belongings about ten days into our return. We want to thank the Lord for providing a place for us to call home and for orchestrating the perfect timing. We rented the house on Thursday and the next day we took possession of the container. Until we rented the house, we had nowhere to store the literature and school kits, but the Lord answered our prayer and has given us a place to rest and raise our family.
September Scripture Project. / Short Term Mission Trip
We are making preparations for the team of 20 that will be arriving September 20th for a two-week mission project. This team along with 10 of our local people will be going to two islands due east to distribute New Testaments and school materials in the public schools on the islands of Fogo and Brava. Total there are nearly 12,000 students and faculty that we hope to meet, give the Word of God to and share the Gospel message with. Please pray with about a couple of different things.
- First, for the hearts of students and teachers to be open and receptive to us and the Word of God.
- Second, for the team. We need your prayers as we travel, minister and learn of Gods work.
- Thirdly, for the logistics and timing. We are travelling by boat between three different islands. In addition, we will be travelling every road and path on these two islands getting to the different schools. Also, we are transporting nearly 800 cases of material by car, boat and hand several different times to get it to its final place; the hand of a teacher or student.
- Finally, pray that the seed sown will find good ground and give fruit to the Glory of God.
Health of Dr. Paul Pritchard Jr.
As most of you know, the week we left to return to Cape Verde my father and our team leader had open heart surgery. We ask that you continue to pray for him as he recovers and gains back his strength in the body. He has within his spirit the strength and desire to be here and everywhere God would have him be, but for this season he is unable. Please keep him in your prayers as he recovers. I love you dad.
Cape Verdean Local Churches
In closing we ask your prayers for the Cape Verdean churches and their leaders. Pray for their spiritual growth and that God would continue to add unto her day by day.
For His Glory
