25 Jul Phillip Pritchard Family Newsletter – 05 – 06 – 2020
Greetings in the name of Christ.
We sincerely hope that you are well and encouraged in the goodness of our great Lord. We have been, of late, overwhelmed by His provision and safe keeping of our family. Undoubtedly you have had a part in this ministering of His grace. Thank you for your steadfast prayer and concern for us and for those to whom we minister. We have had to return to the US for a couple of urgent medical concerns. It goes without saying but, COVID-19 has hurt our world. I believe not so much from the virus itself, but from the political tug of war that has shut down nations and brought entire economies to its knees. It is upon this precipice that we have had to leaveCape Verde. Cape Verde is not currently able to offer the medical attention needed for our eldest son, Mason. He has been having several complications for the past six months. Our Pediatrician has recommended we have him treated as soon as possible. We do not know to what extent and for how long we will need to be in the US. However, we are hopeful that it should be 4 to 6 months. We were able to get on a special permission repatriation flight to Portugal and to the US from Lisbon. These flights were 3x their normal cost. We want to thank collectively all those that helped secure these tickets for our return home. Thank you for your help in the matter of our tickets and in some other pressing needs that we have during this time.
What are we doing while away from Cape Verde and here in the US?
- Ministry still goes on in Cape Verde. There are currently four national families that have been charged with the local churches’ ministry. In addition, Nathan And Tina Fritz, fellow missionaries that we have had the privilege of serving along side for the past two years in Cape Verde have assumed responsibilities and are continuing in the vision and care of the day to day ministry. Please pray for them.
- We will be looking into the medical care and potential surgery of our Son at the children’s Hospital in St. Louis MO.
- We will be assisting in the ministry state side with Preach Evangelistic Ministries and its various opportunities and outreaches. I will be writing a special update letter, here shortly, concerning the details to these ministries and how you can best help and pray.
- Updating and visiting our supporting churches and families. If you would like us to be a part of your services and share with you the state of the ministry please contact us.
In all things we give thanks to our loving Father and to you for your participation and prayer in all that we have to do for His Kingdom sake.
