Mark & Julie Lancaster Prayer Letter January 2019

Dear Praying Friends and Supporters,

We want to wish each of you a wonderful New Year. This new year comes with excitement that this could be the year of the Lord’s return. It also comes with a great urgency that we have much to do because the fields are white. I do believe that we need to have a renewed urgency to raise up new churches, see struggling churches revived, propagate the gospel into the far reaches of the world, and make personal soul-winning a priority.

A NEW YEAR OF MINISTRY: We are anticipating some great things that the Lord will do through Preach Evangelistic Ministries. With the soon completion of the roof, this year should provide the opportunity for the finishing of much of the work of the building. There is a great need of sending gospel literature to needy areas where the Lord is giving open doors.
Once again, we will have the opportunity to help in the mentoring and training of servants who desire to minister for God’s global glory. India and Romania are new fields that we would love to get into and further the gospel through new churches and schools of training. God has some great days ahead for the ministry.

A NEW YEAR OF FAMILY: This year, Julie and I will have been serving the Lord together for 32 years. We are so thankful for God teaching us, growing us, sustaining us, and using us. Our Emily will turn 27 this year. It’s hard to believe that our little girl has grown into a lovely lady so quickly. We also pray that this is the year of her return. With us living closer to St. Louis, Julie is getting to spend more time with her family which is such a blessing. I love hearing her laugh with her brothers and sisters. This will be the 57th year of my parents serving the Lord together. We are grateful that God has continued to give them a measure of health to keep going on. This will be the year of my niece, Madison’s graduation from high school. She is a beautiful young lady with a sweet spirit. I know my sister and brother-in-law are proud.

A YEAR OF OPPORTUNIES: We are excited for the opportunities the Lord is opening for us this year. Our home church is such a blessing to us. We love having the privilege of serving whether it is singing, preaching, praying, or working the nursery (yes, my wife and I work the nursery together). The Lord has been filling our calendar with meetings. Right now, we are already scheduled to be in 13 states. We are praying about every meeting, that God would allow us to be a blessing.
In addition to individual churches, we will be in some revivals, mission conferences, boys’ homes, and girls’ homes. It will be our privilege to be in American Samoa as well as in India and we are praying for God to open other doors.

A YEAR OF NEED: Please help us pray that the Lord would allow us to raise the additional support that we need to sustain us and do the work of the ministry. There are several churches that have supported us in the past that we would ask to prayerfully consider taking us on again. This would free us to be able to put our efforts completely in the work. There is a great deal of finances that we will need to raise this year for the building, as well as projects around the world. Please consider having a part in this work that God is blessing. I desire that through this year, God would personally allow me to reach more souls for Christ. I don’t want to promote missions without practicing it personally. We need people all over the world to help us lift Emily up before the Lord…God is able.

We love each of you and thank you for your friendship and support!
