Lancasters Prayer Letter – January 2020

January 6, 2006

Dear Friends,

A new year of service is now upon us. I’m sure that many of you are like myself, looking back on the
wonderful things that God did in 2019, but looking with anticipation of what He will do this year. This very well could be the year of the Lord’s return. Surely that should give us the motivation to pray more, work more, and seek more to reach the lost.

About a month ago, we sent out a letter telling of the opportunity the Lord has given us to help
encourage and fill in at Grace Baptist Church in Baumholder, Germany. We are now a month out before we leave. We have asked churches and individuals to pray with us about the funds that we need to be able to cover this trip. For all who have been stationed at this base, and have been members there, they can tell you what a pressing need it is to keep the doors of this church open. There are only a few people remaining at the church. A dear friend of ours has been filling in for the last several weeks but must return to the states by the first of February. We are trying to raise $5500 to cover the cost of airline tickets and the daily cost of operating in Germany. To date, we have $445 that has come in, and another $500 that has been promised. We immediately need to purchase our tickets which will be around $2000 for both of us. We do have some others that have said that they will contribute but have not told us an amount. I do believe that this is a worthwhile effort to contribute to. These military churches have been so used by God to see people come to Christ as well as a proving ground for families going into the Lord’s service.

We would greatly appreciate your help in this ministry opportunity. There may be someone that would
want to help us with miles for the airline tickets. Please pray and ask the Lord if He will lead you in helping us raise the rest of the funds needed for the trip.

Thank you for your love and prayers. We know many of you will be holding us up before the Lord as we
minister to this dear church.

In His service,
Mark & Julie Lancaster
