Lancasters Prayer Letter – August 2019

Dear Friends and Family,

God has certainly shown His grace to us over the past few months. It has been a busy time but filled with good things. Since our last letter, we have been in Arkansas, Georgia, Oklahoma, and several churches in Missouri. The Lord has given us a couple of productive revivals with people being saved and we were part of a wonderful missions’ conference in Georgia. God really worked in the meeting and their missions giving was increased. Julie and I have been so blessed as we have traveled around the country to see churches, big and small, that still have a heart for the work of God.

The Lord has laid in our lap the opportunity to help several churches in trying to find a pastor. With each of these works, we have had the opportunity to go and spend some time with the people, find what they are looking for in a pastor, and even preaching a revival for one. It is staggering to see how many Independent Baptist Churches need a pastor today. We have been able to get a pastor placed in one of the churches, but we still have two wonderful ministries that need a pastor. Please pray with us that God would bring the man that these works need to grow. If you know someone who is looking to pastor, feel free to contact me.

There have been some great blessings and some great needs at PREACH Evangelistic Ministries. We thank the Lord for bringing in the money to get a container of literature shipped to Cape Verde, Africa. This will allow us to get a copy of God’s word to every school student on the island. What a wonderful door the Lord has opened! Please pray for the Phillip Pritchard Family as they have just returned to the field of Cape Verde and will be heading up the team that will be distributing the literature. We have also been blessed that our student from India, Sam Sandeep, has come back to continue his training. He has gone to Cape Verde with the team to study there for a few weeks before he returns to Missouri. God has sent several individuals to come and work in the continued construction of the training center and this has been such an answer to prayer. We are still in desperate need of some groups or individuals that can give us some time to help us with carpentry, wiring, plumbing, or painting. If some in your church could help us for a few days, please let us know.

We would ask churches to sincerely pray for our director of PREACH, Bro. Paul Pritchard and his family. Some of you may not know, but he suffered a heart attack and subsequently had to have triple bypass surgery. The surgery was not completely successful, and his heart is working on two arteries. He has a long road of recovery and really needs prayer.

Because of Bro. Pritchard’s health situation, I really need to back off from my traveling and spend more time at the mission board. In order to do that I really could use about ten more churches or individuals to take our ministry on for support. This would give us the finances we need to sustain us without as many love offerings for meetings. Many of you we have known for years and I have preached in your churches. We would ask you to prayerfully consider partnering with us.

Thank you for continuing to pray with us about Emily’s return to the Lord. The devil has certainly entangled her in his web, but we are thankful that we know that God is still on the throne. We are so encouraged that we hear from hundreds of people that are praying for her. The Lord has led us to start a private Facebook group that we have named, “Hope Through Grace”. We wanted to begin a group where parents and grandparents who are going through the same journey of praying children home can have a forum to share their heart and try to encourage others. If you are in this position or know someone who is, please give us your name and we will add you to the group.

We are so grateful for the love and prayers of friends and family around the world that hold our family and ministry up before the Lord. We love you all.

In His Service,
Mark and Julie Lancaster
