Lancasters Prayer Letter – March 2019

Dear Pastor and Friends,

We pray that this letter finds you enjoying God’s richest blessings. Julie and I continue to be grateful to the Lord to be able to have a small part in the work of His kingdom. The desire of our hearts is to encourage fellow laborers and to see souls brought to Christ.

God has given us some good meetings in recent days seeing several come to know the Lord as their Savior. We had the opportunity to spend a few weekends helping a new church plant in Russellville, AR as well as a good church in West Point, MS. These churches both need a pastor and we are praying that God will send the man that He would desire to minister in these good works. If you know of someone looking for a pastorate, please let me know. The first part of February we were in a wonderful ministry in Coldwater, MS. God seems to be doing some great things at Calvary Baptist Church. We just finished a meeting at Community Bible Baptist Church in Pinellas Park, FL and it was a blessing to be able to share the ministry with this wonderful group of people.

We had several other meetings on the calendar for the last couple of weeks. We went to bed perfectly fine on a Tuesday night and in a few short hours I was very sick and ended up in the hospital. I ended up with a severe case of cellulitis and it had made its way into my bloodstream. It took a six day stay in the hospital with intravenous penicillin to get things turned around. I am slowly getting my strength back, but we did have to cancel some meetings to have some recovery time.

We are looking forward to some meetings that we have ahead as we will be in Summit, MS, and in both Rolla and Buffalo, MO. It will be our joy to preach an area wide Youth Rally at our home church in Brookline, MO and then we will finish out the next few weeks in Paducah, KY and in Poteau, OK. Our desire is for the Lord to help us in encouraging these churches in the spreading of the gospel around the world.

Our hearts are grateful that we have seen some new support come in and we again would ask some of our friends to prayerfully consider supporting the work that God has called us to. We would be honored to partner with your church in getting the gospel around the world.

In all the years of deputation and ministry, we have never had any extravagant car expenses. However, we have come to a place that repairs are needed. We are needing about $1,000 to put brakes all around, to replace a CV joint, and to replace the front struts. We know that the Lord will supply, but if you would feel led to help us with this, we would be grateful.

We thank each of you for your continued love, prayer and friendship. Please continue to lift Emily up before the Lord….we know that God is working in her heart.

May the Lord richly bless you,
Mark & Julie Lancaster
