20 Nov Kidd Family Prayer Letter – November 2020
Dear Friends and Co-Laborers in Christ,
The Fall season is upon us. With that, we know that the end of the year is near. Take a moment to reflect on your life’s activities this year. What have you personally done do further God’s kingdom? Have you used the time and resources that God entrusted you with for His glory?
How many people have you personally shared the Gospel with? “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:13-14 There is still time left this year to make a difference.
We have a huge praise and answer to prayer!! We have been praying as a ministry for quite some time that God would send us someone who could assist in teaching the missionary children in Cape Verde. God has called Ms Betty Finchum to fill that role! Ms Betty is a retired lady from our church, Wilson Creek Baptist Church, who taught for many years in a Christian School. We are overly excited for this answer to prayer. Please pray for her as she has much preparation to make in a very short amount of time. If you feel that God would have you help her financially with either a regular gift or a one-time gift, you may do so by either mailing it to our office or give online or through the PREACH app. Her missionary number is #136.
As we near our departure, Lord willing, in January for Cape Verde, there are 2 large financial concerns remaining. First, PREACH is planning to send a 40’ shipping container to Cape Verde in December. This container will have scripture and other ministry materials that need to be put into the hands of those who desperately need it. Second, we will need to purchase a van for ministry use once we arrive. Most people do not own a vehicle, so having a van to transport people to/from church is vital. Financing a vehicle in Cape Verde is not an option, so it must be fully paid for upon purchase. If you feel led to give to either of these needs, we would be very grateful. Gifts towards to shipping container should be noted TOT (Tons of Truth) in the memo and gifts toward to van should be noted Cape Verde Van in the memo. Also, gifts may be given online by selecting the appropriate fund.
We have submitted our visa applications to the Cape Verde embassy and are awaiting their approval and return. While we do not have an exact departure date, we anticipate the Lord allowing us to return to Cape Verde in mid-January. Thank you all for your continued prayer on our behalf.
In His Service,
