07 Mar Kidd Family Prayer Letter – March 2020
Dear Friends and Co-Laborers in Christ,
God is so good!! This past month has been full of blessings. We have met some wonderful people in the churches that we have been in and the preaching has been encouraging and convicting. Also, we have received notice of 6 new supporters this month! Praise God!
This past November, Preach Evangelistic Ministries shipped a 40’ container of Scripture and school packet materials to Cape Verde. We were blessed to be able to put many of our belongings on that container also. What a tremendous relief and blessing it is to not have to take all those totes through the airport with us when we leave in May. The container arrived in Praia, Cape Verde just a week or two ago. Please pray that its release from the port authorities would be quick and seamless. At times, it can be challenging to get containers released by the port authorities.
I have been burdened lately about the great need for more laborers throughout the world. Christ gave a clear command to go “into all the world and preach the gospel.” Through talking with various people, I am sensing that part of the issue is people are not sure how to be prepared for missions. One facet of Preach Evangelistic Ministries is Mentoring Men for Missions. This program trains and prepares the entire family for missions, primarily in 3rd world countries. With our family having completed this program, I can say with absolute certainty that we are far more prepared and ready for the challenges of missions in 3rd world countries than we would have otherwise been. Education is good and very vital, but training is also extremely important. Sure, we will make plenty of mistakes along the way, but far fewer than we would have made without the training. If God has called you (or if you have volunteered like Isaiah did) into His service and you are not sure what steps to take next, I would love to share with you my testimony and how Mentoring Men for Missions can help prepare you for the next step into missionary service.
We celebrated Jenny’s 40th birthday while visiting family in between meetings in Florida. I am amazed over and over that God would bless me with such a wonderful Proverbs 31 woman.
We are in the final 2 months of our meetings and travels. We ask that you continue to pray for our safety as we travel. Also, we still have a good bit of support that we are needing (monthly, quarterly, etc). In last month’s letter, we mentioned several areas where we were needing funds for our transition to Cape Verde. Some of these are: Visas—$1750; Rent Deposit—$1000; Homeschool materials (2yrs)—$2300; Furniture—$8800; Airfare—$3335; Utility Deposits— $2500; Major Appliances—$3600 for a total of $23,285. Praise the Lord, we received some more gifts towards that and now need just $14,450. We also would like to purchase a van for the ministry to be able to bring people to church. We need $33,000 for that. Please continue to pray for God’s provision in these areas. Thank you for praying for us! It has been evident many times that there are people faithfully praying on our behalf.
In His Service,
The Kidd Family
