03 Jun Kidd Family Prayer Letter – June 2020
Dear Friends and Co-Laborers in Christ,
God is so good! Even in the midst of the turmoil that our world, and especially our country, is in right now, if you are serving God then you can’t help but to say just how good He is. Our family has been blessed in so many ways, we are just humbled at God’s goodness towards us.
These last few weeks we have been in Missouri where our church and the Preach office are. It has been great to be back in God’s house with our church family and other nearby churches that we have been able to visit with. I pray that as a result of the gathering restrictions that have been placed upon us that we as Christians have a renewed desire to be with fellow believers in church again.
We are so very thankful for the generosity of God’s people. We now have nearly all the funds needed for our moving/setup expenses. We would ask that you pray about and consider helping with another great need. Most people in Cape Verde do not own vehicles and walk most places they go. If the church is too far from where they live, they just wouldn’t be able to come. We are praying that God will provide the funds for a transport van so that we can go pick up those who desire to come to church but live too far away. You churches who have a bus/van ministry understand the eternal impact that this type of ministry can have. Vehicles in Cape Verde are very expensive. We are still needing approximately $32,000 to purchase a long-term reliable transport van. If God lays it on your heart to give toward this, we and those who will ride the van would be ever so grateful. Any gifts toward this can be sent to the Preach office and designate “CV Van Fund” in the memo. Gifts can also be given through the PREACH app and at www.preachteams.org.
We are also praying that God would send someone (or a couple) to Cape Verde to teach the missionary children. Between our family and 2 other families, there are several missionary children who need taught. Having a teacher would make my wife and the other wives more available for counseling and other ministry needs. Please pray with us that God will send someone our way.
We are currently set for a July 2nd departure to Cape Verde. However, this is could change again due to COVID-19. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for immediate updates. Our page is titled “Kidd Family to Cape Verde”.
