19 Dec Kidd Family Prayer Letter – December 2019
Dear Friends and Co-Laborers in Christ,
We trust you all were able to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. We spent a few days with Jenny’s family in MN. We are looking forward to Christmas and all the excitement that goes along with it. However, I encourage you to not get lost in the excitement with your own family.
Take the time throughout the month to study the purpose of Christ’s coming, to give thanks to God for it, and share with unsaved family and friends why Christmas is important to you as a born-again believer.
God blessed us with good meetings this past month. We had meetings in IA, TN, and AR and each one was a blessing to us. We are continually amazed how God places people who are a blessing and encouragement throughout our travels. Also, on Nov 12th, we were able to help load a 40’ shipping container that was sent to Cape Verde. Again, God sent laborers to help load (by hand) the various materials. We were able to ship 32,000 school packets; 1,800 whole Bibles; approx 72,000 John/Romans; 6 large boxes (40”x40”x40”) of medical supplies; and 20+ totes of our personal belongings. We are very grateful to those who contributed to Tons of Truth to make this shipment possible. This shipping container is scheduled to arrive in January.
Please pray for a smooth process in being released by the port authorities.
While we are settled and committed to going to Cape Verde on May 14th, 2020, we are still in need of more support. God has been so good to us in filling our calendar with meetings. We ask that you would pray that God would guide and direct the hearts of those He would have to partner with us in the ministry in Cape Verde.
With the various missionaries serving in Cape Verde, there are several missionary children. We are praying that God would send someone who would be a teacher for the children. This would enable the wives to have a more active role in the ministry, in particular discipling other women. Would you help us pray to this end?
We also ask that you would pray with us for the great need of laborers. There are so many areas where the ministry has open doors to spread the Gospel message to those who so desperately need to hear it, but there are not sufficient laborers to walk through those open doors.
Therefore he said unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. Luke 10:2
